PROVIDING WARM COMPRESSES AND PRENATAL YOGA TO REDUCE BACK PAIN IN TRIMESTER 3 PREGNANT WOMEN

Pregnancy is a physiological and natural process, the gestation period is forty weeks, starting from conception until the birth of the baby. In pregnancy many physical changes occur. In most cases pregnant women in Trimester 3 experience discomfort such as back pain. The purpose of this case study is to analyze the effectiveness of giving warm compresses and Prenatal Yoga in reducing back pain in pregnant women in trimester 3. This study uses a descriptive method, namely a case study approach. The number of samples used in this case study with 2 respondents. Researchers provide different interventions to two respondents who experience back pain in the third trimester with warm compresses and Prenatal Yoga. The data analysis technique in this study was carried out descriptively to process and analyze the data that had been collected from third trimester pregnant women. Data obtained through interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The table shows that pregnancy experience, mother's work has a significant influence on the level of back pain discomfort experienced by mothers. In the case of Mrs. A G1P0A0 at 38 weeks gestation, and Mrs. Z G1P0A0 at 34 weeks gestation, the respondents had just started their first pregnancy, so they did not have the experience and knowledge needed to deal with the complaints felt. Knowledge about pain management can be obtained from the client's own experience or other sources. A positive mindset will affect the way a person sees the pain they cause, expected to be reduced by the knowledge they have. Based on the results of a case study of a third trimester pregnant woman with back pain who was given the intervention of giving Warm Compresses and Prenatal Yoga, it shows that the back pain felt is reduced and effective.
